After much thinking I have now fulfilled the dream of a digital SLR camera, the EOS500D Kit, with the 18-35 lens.
For Some, like me, the typical child and vacation photographer, a really great camera. Very quickly, because the snapshot function. The menu had self-explanatory (absolutely so some digital “pocket cameras” because it was different). Great colors, which also are not too intense, as I have read here before. Even if the colors are too intense, then I put the EOS “Picture Style”, a how you want.

Setting, all sorts of things, is in the “creative zone” is not a problem because the manual is written very clear and you can try without end – Great battery performance. For me, the battery, sufficient for the initial loading for about 300 pictures, with lots of flash and display.

For me, the EOS500D, the right decision because I of my EOS1000F (analog) nor have a 75-300 lens that after about 15 years ago still fits on the current EOS, that’s what I call the system concept, sowas known elsewhere only by the power tool manufacturer FESTOOL, because everything fits together.
I can only recommend you the EOS500D and amazon.de anyway, here it goes too fast and fair.

Added: 29 June 09th
Now I have bought even the battery grip of Pottix (from My PHOTO Berlin via amazon.de) so that the EOS is still manageable and the handle is in my view, a 100% copy of the original but is still better in the hand.
Now my EOS D500 is complete.
